Pre-K B

I would like to welcome you to the start of an exciting new year. I am very happy to be teaching your child this year. I look forward to working together with you to make this year a great experience for everyone.

My name is Ms. Nicole Baldassarre, and I will be your child’s teacher this year. The children can call me Ms. Nicole. Our classroom teacher’s assistant is Ms. Marta. Since this will be the first school experience for many of the children, we hope to make it an enjoyable one.

This year, your child will gain the skills, knowledge, and approaches to learning necessary to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Our program follows the New York State Foundation for The Common Core. This means we are following state guidelines for teaching all Pre-K students. Throughout the year our class will be learning Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA (letters, letter sounds, stories, writing), Art and Technology. Another important lesson they will learn is how to interact and socialize with other children. Social development is a big factor in learning for Pre-K students.

Throughout the year I will be in contact with you to let you know what we are working on in our classroom and what you can do to reinforce it at home.

Please make sure to check your child’s folder on a daily basis and to sign up for Class Dojo, so you can receive all of the information needed.

Please feel free to speak to us anytime there is a question or concern. With communication and cooperation the year should go very smoothly.
